From the creative mind of our own Artistic Director, Michael Borowitz, Ulysses is a tale of homecoming and redemption. Set in the South in early 1960’s, Ulysses journeys home to find his wife pursued by his enemies and himself unrecognizable to her. From the man who brought you the 2-hour Ring Cycle, Artistic Director Michael Borowitz has adapted Monteverdi’s Ulysses for gospel and R & B orchestra. A truly unique musical event, Ulysses is sung in the original Italian and stars bass-baritone and Opéra Louisiane favorite Ivan Griffin in the title role. Directed by William Shomos.
