How can you support Opéra Louisiane?
Opéra Louisiane is dependent on the yearly donations of generous individuals who support the day to day operations necessary to make opera possible! Throughout the year, our staff and board work to raise funds, plan productions, contract artists, and enhance the culture of our great city. Make a donation of $100 or more each year and receive the benefits of being a member of one of Opéra Louisiane's societies! Perks include access to newsletters and exclusive content, invitations to special events, and free singing telegrams! *Benefits are dependent on giving level.
The Young People's Opera Program is the cornerstone of Opéra Louisiane's commitment to the community. Each year, with your support, we provide free music education for the students in our community. This comes in the form of Virtual Sessions with Professional Teaching Artists, Open Air Fair Performances, and the Arts Partners Afterschool program. For just $25 you can support a child's participation in one of these programs.
Louisiana has a rich history of opera that reaches back to 1796 when the first opera house was built in New Orleans. Opéra Louisiane aims to provide performance opportunities for Louisiana artists alongside stars from across the country and around the world. Each year Opéra Louisiane brings more than a dozen singers to our state while also employing local singers, orchestra musicians, and technical theatre professionals. Sponsoring a Guest Artist gives you a personal connection to our shows and performances.
Guest artist sponsors receive name recognition in our program, the opportunity to meet your guest artist, and have a photo with the artist commemorating your support!
